CCM RibCor 49K Grip Hockey Sticks Sr

The CCM RibCor 49K Grip Stick is built to perform at elite levels of hockey but doesn't require you to break the bank. Weighing in at 441 grams (in senior), this 49K stick is one of the lightest at its price point and is just as lightweight as some of the competition's top of the line sticks that cost twice as much. Just like the top of the line Trigger ASY, the RibCor 49K utilizes Pop Matrix shaft geometry in the lower third of the stick, giving it one of the quickest shot releases on the market.

This unique shaft shape forces the performance fibers into permanent tension, thus speeding up the loading and releasing processes. This design also protects the performance fibers that are inside of the concavity from abusive impacts that regularly happen during play. New for this price point is the Ascent blade construction that first debuted on the previous Reckoner stick.

This lightweight yet durable blade core provides players with excellent puck feel and an even better-balanced feel in the hands. The blade also showcases the Tri-Matrix carbon fiber weave that has been a staple in CCM sticks for quite some time.

  • Heritage: RibCor 48K / 30K / 25K / 18K
  • Level of Player Guideline: Elite
  • Construction: Fused one-piece
  • Shaft Dimensions: Rounded Corners / Straight Sidewalls
  • Flex Point: Low Kick
  • Weight: 441 grams (based on a P29 curve, 85 flex)
  • Construction:
    • RibCor Pop Matrix Technology
      • Optimized construction keeps performance fibers in permanent tension while the shaft corners help to protect them
        • Performance fibers have been re-engineered to deliver an even quicker shot release and a more efficient energy transfer process than the previous generations
    • Fused One-Piece with Carbon Blend
      • The high fusion point enables the stick to shoot more accurately on big shots
      • Carbon Blend provides a high-level of durability without losing pop
    • Power Taper 3:1 Ratio
      • Offers more power with the same amount of effort than other sticks with a low-loading ratio because energy put into the shaft is more efficiently redirected into the puck
      • Sticks with a low-loading ratio lose power when some of the energy is directed towards the ice and not the net
  • Flex Profile:
    • Optimized Low-kick Point
      • Ideal for the "finesse" shooter who's looking to get a shot off as quick as possible
  • Geometry:
    • Straight sidewalls with rounded corners

  • Flex: 75, 85 & 95
  • Stick Sizing Guidelines:
    CCM Measurement = Universal Measurement
    59" = 58" (75 & 85 flex)
    62" = 62" (95 flex)

Comments: Love this stick, Hossa curve 60 inches long is the perfect fit for me. All the sticks seem light to me because I used wood sticks when I was young and then I had a uliminin 2 piece and a few fiberglass 2 piece sticks. So all composite sticks feel light. I  am 39yrs old and still playing in beer leagues and roller leagues. Love hockey and CCM products.

Comments: This is a great stick.  The 49K is basically last years top end so this is your best value.   Light but not fragile, great pop, great durability.

Keep in mind this is a low-kick-point stick for super-fast release when opportunity strikes (not a big-windup, put-it-through-the-glass style).   If you believe "surprise beats power" this is for you.    I have played about 20 games (mens pickup) and the durability is fantastic.  I got the grip, but personally find it too grippy (I actually sprayed it with clear coat to smooth it out).

I recommend going as flexy as practical; it defeats the purpose to get a low-kick-point stick like this with a heavy flex.
From: Greg, Topsham, Maine, Merika

Comments: Prior to using the ribcor line i jumped around frequently with stick (bauer easton, sherwood) but i first used the 48k (previous generation) and loved it. Now i use the ribcor line exclusively and love the feel, the pop and weight.

Everything feels right about this stick. the durability i feel is where it should be; just short of a full on two handed slash to the flex point this stick handles abuse great

For the price ill take the 49k over just about any stick on the market. I play in a competitive mens league so price is huge for me and ccm really nailed this stick.
From: Ryan, Fairfield, CT

Comments: what a great stick. went with this stick due to budget costs, but feels just as good as a pro stock stick. if you are looking for a great quick release stick without breaking the bank this is a good choice!!!
From: Brandon, Anchorage, AK

Comments: Been using the RibCor line for about a year now with a small stint with a Bauer twig. Overall, I keep coming back to the CCM because I feel like I (personally) get a little more pop. The 49K I have is still in great condition and would suggest picking a curve you like and giving it a try.
