CCM RibCor Trigger Grip Hockey Sticks Sr

The CCM RibCor Trigger ASY Grip Stick boasts the quickest shot release from any CCM stick to date thanks to the new carbon fiber layup called the ASY-1 flex profile. CCM was able to achieve and validate results with their new state of the art Stick Lab, which truly allowed them to pin point and to fine tune the "Moment of Release" which is the key factor in speeding up the shot release.

Working hand in hand with the ASY-1 low kick point is the new Ascent 2 blade core. CCM moved the support bridges higher up inside the blade core and used lighter materials too. These two changes provide players with an even more balanced feel in the hands and a better overall feel for the puck. The Pop Matrix shaft geometry is carried over from the Reckoner. This unique shaft dimension found in the lower third of the stick forces the carbon fiber into permanent tension, thus eliminating a step during the shooting process for an even quicker shot release. The carbon fiber on the corners are intentionally stronger so that they can protect the internal fibers, which are geared for pure performance.

The CCM RibCor Trigger stick uses CCM's exclusive Technora Aramid Fibers to ensure players have a stick that is not only built for pure performance but also built to last. Technora is one of the strongest fibers found in hockey and was used to extend the life of stick (including pop life) with its strong impact-resistance properties that won't weigh the stick down.

  • Heritage: RibCor Reckoner / 40K / Reebok RibCor
  • Level of Player Guideline: Elite
  • Construction: Fused one-piece
  • Shaft Dimensions: Rounded Corners / Straight Sidewalls
  • Flex Point: Low Kick
  • Weight: 412 grams (based on a P29 curve, 85 flex)
  • Construction:
    • RibCor Pop Matrix Technology
      • Optimized construction keeps performance fibers in permanent tension while the shaft corners help to protect them
        • Performance fibers have been re-engineered to deliver an even quicker shot release and a more efficient energy transfer process than the previous generations
    • Technora™ Aramid Fiber Reinforcement
      • Provides lightweight and extremely strong reinforcement throughout for top-notch durability
      • Keeps the stick feeling newer, longer with it's flex fatigue resistance properties
    • Fused One-Piece with Tri-Matrix Carbon Fiber
      • Evolving from the Dual Matrix, the fibers are strategically oriented in 90-degree patterns through the middle for support and stability
      • The forehand and backhand sides are strategically oriented at 45-degree patterns to shorten the load and release process
      • The high fusion point enables the stick to shoot more accurately on big shots
    • Power Taper 3:1 Ratio
      • Offers more power with the same amount of effort than other sticks with a low-loading ratio because energy put into the shaft is more efficiently redirected into the puck
      • Sticks with a low-loading ratio lose power when some of the energy is directed towards the ice and not the net
  • Flex Profile:
    • Optimized Low-kick Point via the new ASY-1 Flex Profile
      • Ideal for the "finesse" shooter who's looking to get a shot off as quick as possible
      • New strategic carbon fiber layup provides players with the quickest shot release from a CCM stick to date
        • Validated with CCM's state of the art Stick Lab
  • Geometry:
    • Straight sidewalls with rounded corners
  • Grip:
    • Grip stick coating
  • Blade:
    • New Ascent Blade 2 Construction
      • Even lighter blade core takes the already excellent balanced feel to the next level
      • Improved design gives players even better puck feel that's built to last
      • The stiffness progressively increases from the heel through the toe, allowing the blade to load and release like the shaft for quicker and harder shots
  • Flex: 75, 85, 95 & 105
  • Stick Sizing Guidelines:
    CCM Measurement = Universal Measurement
    59" = 58" (75 & 85 flex)
    62" = 62" (95 & 105 flex)

Comments: The best low-kick stick I have used, even better than the 2015 1x which I loved.  The incredible light weight and balance combined with the quick release is deadly, and is a must have for dangles and snipers.

From: Ryan, Alexandria, VA

Comments: I had the last model of Reebok ribcor and it wasn't bad but I prefer the tavares curve which you can only get in the tacks model.

Comments: I've been a huge fan of Ribcor sticks since the Reebok Ribcor was dropped. There's a certain pop that they have that no other stick on the market possesses. The Ribcor Trigger is no exception, with the best release of any of the previous models. Each time CCM revamps the Ribcor sticks, they seem to outdo themselves. This stick is fantastic for hard writers, one-timers, quick sticks, dishes, and puck handling. Release is second to none. Feel is superb. If you're looking to step up your game or simply need a new twig, look no further than this guy.
From: Tim, Pittsburgh, PA

Comments: Love my ribcore, has plenty of pop for the snapper. Overall, best stick I've have purchased. 105 flex...
From: Brian, Dearborn, MI

Comments: RibCor is, by far, my favorite stick technology. I've used many reebok ribcors and it seems as though the flex will last longer than most traditional composite sticks. This technology allows a quick response for snap, wrist, and even slap shots. For me, it felt like the perfect balance between mid kick and low kick to get the most out of all my shots. The feel through the stick is also extremely lively. It feels as if the blade is wood, without adding the extra weight. Ribcors are very sensitive with puck to stick contact, yet very durable without suffering from too much weight. This is the perfect stick for all around play; it is a great balance between girth and grace. The technology put into this stick will not disappoint you.
From: Sam, San Luis Obispo, CA

Comments: One of the best, if not best shooting stick on the market today.

Trigger has a ridiculously quick release with the next closest stick being the QRL. Shots come off effortlessly and quickly with the Triggers ASY shaft design and low kick point. My shots have to be controlled to keep them low, I wish CCM offered a heel curve similar to the older P36A. Slap shots, wrist shots and snap shots all feel like they release quick and come off harder than any stick I have used before.

The blade is more dampened than I'd prefer, which makes it perfect for receiving and giving passes but I find I lost pucks when stick handling as I prefer a more lively and pingy blade.

Grip is fairly tacky and the squared textured pattern feels nice on the hands and gives just a bit more feeling to know exactly where your hand is located on the shaft of the stick.

Graphics look great, the green hues are understated from far but a great touch. The white accents at the bottom of the stick create a great contrast in colours compared to the rest of it.

I would recommend this stick and it is my go-to stick at the moment, but if you like stiffer blades this might not be the best option for you.
From: Matt, Niagara Falls, NY

Comments: This sticks really shines for me in the areas of snapshots and slap shots where it has a wicked kick without a lot of power put into the shot. I would recommend it over most other sticks of your playstyle calls for it. It's a grinders stick just for the fact it can get a quick hard shot without a big wind up.
From: Scott, AB, Canada

Comments: Extremely lightweight, very lively puck feel, and a very fast release. I love quick release sticks and overall this is among the best 10 out of 10 for me.
From: Gabriel, East Tawas, MI

Comments: This stick is so much better than anything else on the market that I dont understand how anyone who uses a low kick stick would even consider anything else. I have an original RBK Ribcore as a backup that I let a couple guys on my team try out. Its been used to the point that it should've long since worn out but the pre tensed section works so well that now it has about as much pop as a new stick from someone else but not as much as The Trigger. Now half my team is using Ribcores and other teams are taking notice as we put a hurting on the scoreboard. The Trigger is insane, best stick I've ever owned, nothing else even compares. Its a bigger advancement over other sticks than the first composites were over wood. Get one, you'll thank me, Goalies wont.
From: Mason, Fort Thomas, KY

Comments: Love my CCM Ribcor sticks. Used the line since it was Reebok and won't buy a different stick for a long time. Great feel to the stick and has a good quick release. Would recommend to anyone!
