The Warrior Ritual G2 Goalie Leg Pads are incredibly ambitious and innovative leg pads that are the result of years of research and planning by Warrior's Pete Smith. Weighing in at a ridiculous 4.4 pounds per pad, each leg pad is almost a full pound lighter than the next pad of its kind without having to sacrifice protection and still being loaded with excellent features. 

The Ritual G2 leg pads have an extremely lightweight construction that results in an unprecedented increase in leg speed. By having such a light pad construction, each movement is made more explosive, and due to a decrease in fatigue that explosiveness continues for a longer period of time. The G2 leg pad has a bindingless construction that increases durability by reducing the wear that occurs on the high stress areas of the pad. Jenpro leather is used on the face of the pad, giving it extremely high durability and a great look as well. The inner boot has been rounded, reducing friction that occurs when going into the butterfly and resulting in a completely smooth transition.

The G2 leg pads have a single break below the knee and a flexible boot, allowing increased agility and more powerful pushes from the skates. The Profile Lock is a brand new system that allows the goaltender to change the shape of the thigh rise with a simple adjustment. By using a velcro tab located on the inside of pad above the knee, the curvature of the thigh rise can be changed dramatically. This is a great feature considering the fact that many goaltenders have an extremely particular preference on how the upper thigh rise is curved. The squared-up design of these pads ensures a complete seal across the playing surface when in the butterfly position. The thin thigh profile allows the tops of the pads to overlap each other when standing and increases efficiency when moving around the crease. The face of the pad is a flat design which helps to produce more predictable rebounds, an essential requirement for the butterfly style to perform properly. The Post Wedge Panel is a feature that has been carried over to the G2 from the previous model in the Ritual series. This panel provides protection to the outer calf while also filling the gap between the post and pad when using the "split butterfly" post hugging technique. The Ritual G2 leg pad has the new Knee Drive system, which is a firm knee stack and open knee cradle that creates a more ergonomically efficient interface between the leg and knee pads. This is important for the transition from standing to butterfly due to the fact that the pad has better rotation and the knee is consistently landing in the right place every time. 

The Ritual G2 leg pads employ an all elastic strap system that allows changes in the fit of the pad to be done extremely fast. The G2's have done away with traditional toe ties, instead opting for a dual elastic Active Response strap system that provides more consistent transitions between movements. By having the elasticity of the straps, the goaltender gets all the benefits of the loose and tight strap setups, ensuring that no over rotation occurs and that blade contact with the ice is more consistent. Included with the leg pads are the G2 Pro Knee Pads, which are high quality knee pads that provide professional level protection to the knee and thigh areas.
