The Vaughn Velocity 7800 Goalie Stick comes in at the mid range for Vaughn's foam core 2012 lineup. The VGS 7800 allows a goalie to have great mobility while holding up to constant abuse from the playing surface and direct hits.

The Vaughn 7800 goal stick is manufactured with a foam core and reinforced with internal composite inserts that are encapsulated into the blades foam core. The handle is made from laminated wood with Birch and Aspen layers providing a constant flex and solid feel giving the goalie amazing control while shooting. Vaughn designed the paddle to have a stiffer construction with a special pre-laminated hard composite. This hard composite is bonded to the stick creating exceptional strength and rigidity, as well as extending the life of the stick. The blade is temperature molded with Vaughn's own special epoxy resin and contains hard laminate composite inserts on the front and back of the blade for added strength, and limits the blade flex while shooting. The heel has been reinforced with an ABS plastic insert that is bonded with the foam core to help prevent the heel from splitting. The VGS 7800 is designed well, having excellent balance that helps with blocker hand fatigue.

Producing only goalie gear, Vaughn is consistently designing exceptional equipment for goalies of all ages and playing levels. The VGS 7800 Foam Core goalie stick is made in Canada and is a great performer for goalies looking for a slightly less expensive stick thats durable.
