Overview

The Alkali CA5 hockey stick is a solid, mid-range stick from the new roller hockey specific company, Alkali Hockey.  The difference between this stick and the CA9 is the use of VDC carbon fiber weave which will increase the strength and durability of the stick without sacrificing weight and feel. It still features the same anti-slash protection and vibration dampening core blade for precision control.

Comments: Never tried this stick before but the materials that it is made from grabbed me. I have had this stick since January of 2012 and played one season in a league and use it every Saturday in pick up games. It is heavier than normal sticks and is a little blade heavy. The nice thing is that if you want a stick that lasts this baby can take some damage. It has nicks and dents but still very usable. The blade had just started a large chip at the top of the toe but has not split and cracked like any other stick would. For a roller hockey stick its not bad for ice hockey. So far I am pleased.
