The Alkali RPD Crew + Roller Hockey Skates pack a ton of value for the price. The nylon quarter package offers plenty support for the beginner or recreational player, plus it's fully heatmoldable for a truly customized fit. Alkali designed the quarter to put players in a natural hockey stance by reducing toe spring and giving the boot an aggressive yet still comfortable forward pitch.

The lowers consist of a two-piece, stamped aluminum Alkali Movement Chassis that was designed to work specifically with the outsole. The outsole features a small cut out that allows the second wheel from the front to recess into. This lowers a player's center of gravity for a much more stable feel and it allows for even tighter turns.

Comments: This is my first pair of skates and I only play recreationally so for the price these skates are great. I tried on other skates and felt a lot of pressure on my ankle bones but when I got these I didn't feel any pressure in those areas at all. They were very comfortable straight outta the box and are only getting better. The Labeda wheels have been durable considering I've been practicing on smooth asphalt a lot as well as indoor rinks. My next pair will be definitely be Alkali although I'll probably go a model or two up. For the price of these skates however they are great. I would recommend them.
