The Bauer IMS 11.0 Hockey Helmet is the top of the line helmet coming from the IMS line. This awesome helmet blends a handful of the most protective features and technologies found in hockey to date. The advanced level of protection is provided from the redesigned Seven Technology™ and Poron XRD™ foam.

Bauer combined their newly acquired Seven Technology™, which are clusters of 7 cones that efficiently manage high and low impacts, with their most advanced and protective foam, Poron XRD™, to provide a supreme level of protection for the player. The Seven Technology™ strategically reacts to high and low impacts differently, providing the best protection in all situations. The Poron XRD™ foam is utilized in the front of the helmet, acting as a highly protective memory foam while also being perforated to promote ventilation.

Many highly protective helmets sacrifice looks and size to accustom certain features and designs, not the IMS 11.0. This helmet has a low-profile and aggressive look that many pro's prefer. On the rear of the helmet, the new ProFit2™Adjustment System provides a 15 point secure fit that will keep the protection in it's proper position. Working with the tool-less shell adjustment feature, this IMS 11.0 can be precisely adjusted on the fly no matter what type of situation a player is in.

Comments: Good, protective helmet. Looks sick like the Re-Akt, but uses a different liner and is cheaper. The Bauer Profile II cage fits and looks good on this too.

Comments: For the record, I also own a Bauer Re-Akt. I love the Re-Akt and will never get rid of it. The IMS 11.0 is also a great helmet. It has different padding that the Re-Akt, but I cannot tell a difference in protection. I would say the Re-Akt is more form fitting than this helmet. I believe the IMS 11.0 is great for people with bigger heads. The medium is a little loose on me (not unusable, but different than the Re-Akt medium). I would recommend Bauer helmets over CCM/Reebok (cracks too easily), Easton (pinch points behind your ears), and Warrior (only ever hear bad things).
