Comments: I've used a cage or a shield through my time playing hockey at various levels. The Bauer 920 half-cage is a really great compromise between the visibility of a shield while keeping the cage protection around your jaw to protect the chicklets. It takes a little getting used to and mine does have instances of fogging up, but I used the bauer anti-fog spray and that does a pretty good job keeping it clear. Water from the ice can still build up on the mask, so be sure to get a towel and towel it off between shifts. All in all, its a little more maintenance than just a cage but dramatically better visibility.

Comments: I love my Bauer 920! I grew up playing with the Concept 2 and that was great. The 920 gives me a bit more air and feels more robust when taking a puck or stick to the cage part. slightly heavier than I would like, but I got used to it.
From: Nick, CA

Comments: I've had my combo for a couple of seasons now - it's taken sticks and pucks and held up well. I don't have fog issues. Great product - best of both worlds.
From: Jay, MD

Comments: I got this to replace my bauer half shield and I love it. I can see just as good but have the protection of the full cage. I play outdoor roller all year round and have had no problems with it at all. I have taken a few sticks to the shield and didn't even get a scratch on it.
From: Bill, NC

Comments: I was finally able to skate a Stick & Puck session at a local ice rink with the Bauer 920. I'm getting back in shape to play in a roller league so I was breathing and sweating heavily. I have a size Medium 920 with a Medium Bauer RE-AKT helmet and it's a nice fit, very comfortable. I had zero fogging issues while playing and the visibility is great. Only problem, very minor at that, is there are a few faint scratchy "patches" on the visor, each about the size of a dime I'd say (was this way when taken out of the package). Kinda looks like a smudge that wasn't wiped away completely, but I do believe they are hazy scratches. Doesn't impact vision or anything at all, especially when the visor is snapped down on your head- not even noticeable. Didn't think it was worth the hassle to return. Great product; very happy with the purchase.

Comments:  Nice shield..great vision, definitely a step up from a full cage. A little on the heavy side, but no issues with fogging.
From: Chris

Comments: I have this in a size large on a Bauer 9900 medium and it fits perfectly. This is a great combo mask that never fogs during play if you use the blue Bauer spray. I have taken pucks and sticks to the metal cage and the visor and there are only small marks on the visor that do not interfere with my vision. Make sure to buy a size up from your helmet if you are wearing the 9900.
From: Ollie

Comments: I bought this to replace the standard wire cage on my Bauer 4500 helmet. This is a sturdy yet light-weight shield that yields vastly improved visibility. There is plenty of airflow and I experienced no problems with fogging or glare. Highly recommended.
From: Mark

Comments: I get this for all my helmets. Gives improved visibility over the standard wire cage, while allowing more airflow than a full visors. Haven't had for issues indoor or out or on ice. I have never had a problem fitting it to a helmet. As far as size if you like more room between your shield and face order same size, if you like it a bit closer order a size down.
From: Adam, Cinnaminson NJ US

Comments:Highly recommended cage. I play mostly indoor/outdoor roller hockey and have had no visibility issues. Appears to be built solidly. I read somewhere that they recommend fitting your helmet with a a cage that is a size smaller. I ordered this way and everything fits perfectly. I bought a medium shield for a large CCM helmet. Also, my helmet was an older model CCM that was not on their list of compatible helmets and I had no problems mounting. Again, highly recommended.
From: B. Mart

Comments:The shield has great visibility since it’s so large and didn’t fog up. The jaw cage is low enough that you don’t notice it. The fit worked even though my helmet wasn’t on the compatibility list that the shield comes with. Good buy.
