The Bauer Profile 951 Certified Goalie Mask is new for 2012, and offers goalies excellent lightweight protection. The Profile 951 is constructed using a fiberglass shell reinforced with KEVLAR® fiber that not only offers great protection, but also keeps the weight down.

Bauer's decided to use a durable stainless steel cage that resists rust as well as extends the life. The difference between the Profile 950 and 951 is the cage that is used. The Profile 951 is using a Non-Certified cage, legal only for players 18 years of age and older. A soft comfort foam liner is used to dampen impact and is designed to fit comfortably on the head. The liner is mechanically attached meaning you can remove the padding and screws giving you the ability to clean, replace, or have the mask painted. Ventilation holes have been installed throughout the helmet allowing the mask to breathe, keeping the goalie cool.

Adjustment features include a nylon chin strap that secures the front of the helmet under the chin. A molded chin cup has been included, giving the goalie the ability to adjust how the mask fits the face. The majority of the fit comes from the 5 point harness adjustable backplate straps. The elastic straps can be adjusted to fit just about any head shape ensuring a comfortable safe fit.

The Bauer Profile 951 certified goal mask is an excellent choice for goalies looking for a medium priced helmet that performs well at the advanced levels of play.

Comments: Upgraded from a profile 1200,and feel increased protection. The hard shots still ring a little, but its a big improvment. The fit is also an improvement as well. The NC cage is perfect for my sight lines. For the money, I would certainly recommend the 950/951 over the cheaper alternatives!!
