Bauer uses a few new materials that makes the one95 one of the most cutting edge shoulder pads on the market. The MAX- SORB™ combines high-density HX-SORB™ foams with gel resulting in a more protective material. This has replaced Nike's Air Unit. This pad also utilizes that HX-SORB™ material to reduce weight and allow additional air flow. Also new this year to the Bauer line is F-ONE™ shell technology which fuses high-density foams with plastic. This results in a more protective lighter material than what is found on other pro level pads.
Bauer has done a great job on the design of this pad. They offer the pro level of protection without adding too much bulk. Bauer
is able to do this by concentrated denser foams and material in the key high impact areas and segmenting the foams to allow
better movement. The FREE FLEX design separates the bicep guards for better movement. Another feature Bauer has given this
pad is the adjustable and removable bicep guards and shoulder caps.
- Protection:
- MAX-SORB™ sternum protection - This protective material combines gel with HX-SORB™ dense foams delivering a maximum energy absorbing material. This material diffuses 25% more energy than traditional high-density foams.
- F-ONE™ shell technology on shoulder caps - Fuses high-density foams with rigid polyethylene as one material. This results in 25% greater energy absorption and 15% lighter weight.
- Vent Armor™ - This is a perforated high-density foam that offers a high level of protection while decreasing weight and allows for superior air flow
- HD foam inserts in chest and spine
- Poly reinforced bicep guards
- Reinforced arch protection
- Removable abdominal protection pad
- Additional and removable side kidney guards
- Liner:
- Thermo-Max+™ liner - Is the premier liner from Bauer. This liner has a soft feel that wick moisture, manages temperature, and prevents bacteria build up.
- Fit:
- Multi-segmented, multi-panel design - Allows for a great range of motion that wont hold the player back
- FREE FLEX bicep guard
- Adjustable/removable bicep guards and shoulder caps
- Perforated foams allow for increased airflow
- Level of Play: Ideal for the advanced to pro level of play
