Cut Protection Level
-
This is the general level of protection against cuts.
- Minimum: Basic protection suitable for competitive play
- Standard: Balanced protection for intense gameplay. Protects against more severe cuts.
- Maximum: Highest level of cut resistance for elite gameplay. Ideal for competitive adult hockey and designed for the biggest and fastest players.
ANSI Rated Cut Level
-
Measures the actual cut resistance of materials based on the ANSI/ISEA 105 standard.
ANSI Level Description Grams of Force N/A No specific cut resistance rating provided by the manufacturer. N/A A1 Minimal protection; withstands light cuts. 200-499 A2 Lower-level protection; resists slightly heavier cuts. 500-999 A3 Low-level protection; suitable for competitive play. 1,000-1,499 A4 Standard protection; defends against significant cuts. 1,500-2,199 A5 Elevated protection for intense play. 2,200-2,999 A6 Extra protection for faster, higher-impact play. 3,000-3,999 A7 Ultra-high protection. 4,000-4,999 A8 Premium protection for all levels of play and ages. 5,000-5,999 A9 Top-tier cut resistance for ultimate protection. 6,000+

The Bauer Vapor APX LE Hockey Sticks offer the same great features as the other versions of the APX stick but with the sweet matted finish and the black, grey, and red graphics. The APX sticks have an excellent all around feel great for stick handling.
The APX stick has picked up where the X60 left off and moved it into a whole new stratosphere of performance. The APX stick shares several features with the X60 stick such as: the high-grade TeXtreme carbon fiber, monocomp design (true one-piece construction), Intelli-sense shot technology (dual flex profile), Micro Feel II shaft dimensions (slightly smaller and rounded shaft dimensions).
One of the most significant new features to the APX stick is the new blade core. Bauer is using a patented dual density blade core for the ultimate combination of balance, feel, power, and performance. On the lower portion of the blade that has most of the contact with the puck Bauer has used an aramid reinforced epoxy core for an excellent puck feel. This material is similar to the power core 3 material that was used on the TotalOne stick. On the upper half of the blade Bauer has used the Aero Foam II which was featured on the X60 stick. The Aero Foam II helps decrease the overall weight as well as increases torsional stiffness to prevent blade deflection.
Bauer has also introduced a new resin they are using in the APX stick. This new resin has a lighter overall weight as well as offers superior durability to help lengthen the lifespan of the stick.

Previous Feedback
Comments: Love this stick. super lightweight , shot comes off super quick and will never use a different stick ever, i use non-grip 87 flex P92 curve
From: Stu, Phoenix, AZ
Comments: Love this stick! I had a X60 stick that broke and happily replaced it with the APX! It takes all the benefits of the X60 to the next level. Inteli-sense allows my APX stick to adjust to make my wrist, snap and slap shots very lethal. And the APX stick is so light I can quickly move it around to deflect shots from the point.

Comments: This is the best stick I have ever had. Way better durability to the Warrior Widow and the Easton Mako sticks. This stick not only looks awesome but it has an amazing
kick-point. There are not only one but two (High and low) kick-points. The stick also is one of the lightest models on the market. If you are of high school age or above I really recommend this stick.

Comments: This is the best stick available for puck handling/fee as well as snap shots. The balance is unreal!
