The Bauer Vapor APX2 Pro Hockey Gloves offer the same basic look as the Vapor APX2, but with a few changed components to give it a more traditional look based around pro-level protection.

On the glove's exterior, Bauer did away with the modern synthetic leather and upgraded to a pro nylon mesh to give the glove great durability and breathability. Furthermore, protection was the key focus on the APX2 Pro so Bauer added Poron XRD™ foam to the backhand pad inside of the glove on top of the dual-density foams incorporated throughout the glove. This is memory foam, so it will form to the shape of your hand while absorbing over 90% of the impact from slashes and pucks, giving you the best protection possible.

Other great features we see in this glove are the 37.5™ technology integrated into the inside liner which essentially evaporates the sweat from your body and the gloves, giving you the best feel while prolonging the life of the glove. The Thermo Max liner placed within the cuff also aids in wicking away the moisture but is very comfortable as well.

The palm featured on this glove is the Ax™ Suede Quattro+ palm. Colored with the traditional ivory, this palm is constructed with a triple fiber blend that provides a soft feel but very durable. The moisture management in the palm keeps your hands dry and resists water uptake, which will keep the palm from cracking over time. These gloves also feature the 3-piece Free Flex lock thumb for excellent forward flex while preventing hyperextension.

Comments: Recently purchased these great gloves after trying on the Nexus, Supreme, and Vapor models. The Supreme gloves felt a little too snug for me. The Nexus were just a bit too loose/floppy feeling for me. The Vapors felt perfect on my hands and allow for plenty of wrist movement. Basically, the fitting guide provided by Bauer regarding the different lines, and their estimated fit, was quite accurate for me.

The gloves are light (enough for me), and feel quite robust. I've used them in a few practices and they feel great. I also use them off-ice for stick and puck skills in the basement. I wanted the Ivory palm pad on the Pros vs. the color-matched APX2 - just personal preference. However, I wonder it you have black, or colored tape on your stick if it would transfer. I use white.
