Cut Protection Level

The Bauer Classic Chest Protector is designed for the entry roller or recreational ice goalie.
The Classic chest protector uses pro style shoulder floaters with a soft foam lining to provide great protection and shot dampening to the shoulder, while also keeping a wide butterfly style profile. The chest blocks on the Classic chest protector are anatomically design allowing the protection to contour to the body. Bauer has used a 1" wide nylon strap to connect the back panel to the front of the chest protector.
The RX4 chest protector uses a heavy duty nylon material on the front with a neoprene-like material as a liner. The RX4 chest protector uses dense foam in the chest blocks for protection. Bauer has used several adjustment features to ensure a snug fit with this chest protector. On the arm there are 3 elastic strap at the elbow and a velcro strap at the wrist to provide a secure fit.

Comments: I play mostly ball hockey and this chest pad is great. I was playing with the Reebok 2k street chest protector, but as the guys I was playing with got better, their shots got harder and went from a few stingers to some pretty big bruises. So I picked up one of these bad boys, and boy what an improvement. I no longer flinch at slappers and have not gotten a stinger since. These are a bit bulkier than the previous street set, and are a bit stiffer and take a bit of wear-in, but they are great for the money and level I am playing at.
