The Bauer Elite Chest Protector offers protection suitable for the most advanced levels of roller play or intermediate to advanced ice play.

The Elite chest protector uses a dual shoulder cap setup using molded poly and foam with the inner layer being segmented to offer contouring protection to the shoulder. The Bauer Elite chest protector features advanced foams in the chest blocks to increase the level of protection. The chest blocks utilize an anatomical design which allows the protection to contour to the body.  There is about a 2.5" foam piece that extends for the sides of the chest protector to provide additional rib protection.  The ABS protection provides a customizable fit with the chest protector to ensure you are fully protected. In the sternum Bauer has used their HX-SORB™ foam which is dense perforated foam designed to give advanced protection that is lighter and increases breathability.

The Elite chest protector uses a heavy duty nylon material throughout with enhanced poly and foam used for superb protection. Bauer has used several adjustment features to ensure a snug fit with this chest protector. There are three elastic strap around the elbow to ensure that the plastic elbow cap stays in place. In addition to those straps, there is one more leather velcro strap around the wrist with a neoprene-like liner on the inside. The Elite chest protector uses Bauer's Adjustable Belly System (ABS) to fully adjust or even remove flaps on the bottom of the belly. This chest protector uses an adjustable 1.5" elastic buckle strap to secure the fit. To provide additional adjustment options, Bauer has used a velcro design at the top of the chest protector to allow the goalie to adjust how the chest protector rest on the shoulders. This chest protector allows for a lot of adjustability so you can customize the fit to your body.

Comments:This is an excellent product. I have trouble finding a chest and arms set because I am "between" the standard sizes. According to the size chart, I should take a medium based on my height of 5'8", however, I am 125 - 140 lbs and don't have the bulk or girth to fill out the medium. I am using this chest and arms in the senior small and find it much better than the other chest and arms out there as it seems to fit my thinner frame much better. I don't find myself getting tangled or hung up on it. As for protection, I taken some pretty hard shots and not felt any sting. If I were to wish for anything more on this product, I only wish that the arm length was adjustable. The small is working great, but I could use just a tad more length. I find it a little odd that the base "performance" model offers some adjustment in this area, but that the higher end model does not. I highly recommend this chest and arms. It's lightweight, and I also found it very user friendly right off the rack - no stiff components to break in. An awesome piece of kit for us smaller framed goalies.
