Overview

The Bauer Nexus 400 Hockey Elbow Pads are the most affordable elbow pads in the Nexus line. They offer great protection for recreational to intermediate level play.

The Nexus 400 elbow pads are constructed with a covered hard cap design, mid density foams, and a hydrophobic mesh liner.  The forearm and bicep guard have the mid density foams that help protect against slashes and collisions.  The hydrophobic mesh liner offers great comfort at the price point.

The Nexus 400's feature an independent bicep guard construction that improves mobility and lets your arms have more range of motion.  The elbow pad is attached with dual 2" velcro straps at the forearm and bicep, with a 1" velcro strap in the middle making for a total of 3 straps to secure the pad on the arm.

Comments: These elbow pads are very affordable which is the main reason I bought them. I play in a B- league, so there are not any Chara velocity slap shots; but I had this elbow pad securely on me and took a slap shot while in front of the net. It hit the strongest part of the pad and I was in some serious, serious pain. The puck hit my jersey and the pad and still cut my elbow and bruised it significantly. I would only recommend this pad if you go to stick n' puck. Otherwise buy a more protective elbow pad...

Comments: I purchased these on a college budget and I truly don't see a reason to spend double the price of these on elbows that offer equivalent protection and comfort. They remain secured during practice and physical play, and I would/will buy these again when a new set is required. No negatives, and no reason not to purchase these.

Comments: Fantastic value. Great coverage & quality for the price. Makes me wonder how they're turning a profit by selling these for as cheap as they do.. (much appreciated, anyway)
