The Bauer Performance Chest Protector is designed for the intermediate roller or entry level or recreational ice goalie.
The Performance chest protector uses molded shoulder caps with a soft foam lining to provide great protection and shot dampening to the shoulder. The chest blocks on the Performance chest protector are anatomically design allowing the protection to contour to the body. Bauer has used a 3" wide elastic velcro strap to connect the back panel to the front of the chest protector. This strap helps to ensure a great contouring fit around the body and helps to pull back the protection to provide some rib protection on the sides. The Performance chest protector uses Bauer's Adjustable Belly System (ABS) to fully adjust or even remove flaps on each side as well as at the bottom of the belly. The ABS protection provides a customizable fit with the chest protector to ensure you are fully protected.
The Performance chest protector uses a heavy duty nylon material throughout with molded poly and foam used for protection. Bauer has used several adjustment features to ensure a snug fit with this chest protector. On the arm there are 2 elastic strap, one around the forearm and one around the lower bicep. There are also thee heavy duty nylon straps around the elbow to ensure that the plastic elbow cap stays in place. In addition to all those straps, there is one more velcro strap around the wrist. Bauer has really done a nice job allowing for the best fit possible.
