The Bauer Reactor 4000 Hockey Goalie Chest Protector offers a solid level of protection for the highest level of roller hockey play and an advanced level of ice hockey play. Bauer designed the Reactor 4000 to offer sound protection and ventilation with the use of advanced foams and breathable nylons.
The Bauer Reactor 4000 Chest Protector provides hockey goalies with a high level of protection with the usage of segmented high density foams backed by plastic inserts. Bauer compensates for the natural bulkiness of a chest protector with the abundant usage of segments and breaks in the foams, allowing the pads to move easier and thus offering solid mobility. The segments also help to keep the protection in the correct place at all times, even during game-saving dives. The sternum uses an advanced HX-Sorb™ Foam that offers advanced protections for a vital part of the body.
The 4000 comes with a variety of adjustment and fit features, such as the 3-Piece Adjustable Belly System that uses velcro to allow players change the height and placement of three individual stomach guards. On the rear, Bauer included a 2-piece, velcro shoulder adjustment that makes the chest protector sit higher or lower on the front. Finally, the hinged elbow joint includes three nylon straps while a buckle with a nylon strap wrap around the ribs for top to bottom fit customizing.
