Level of Play Definitions

    Recreational-Level Skates

Cut Protection Level

  • This is the general level of protection against cuts.

    • Minimum: Basic protection suitable for competitive play
    • Standard: Balanced protection for intense gameplay. Protects against more severe cuts.
    • Maximum: Highest level of cut resistance for elite gameplay. Ideal for competitive adult hockey and designed for the biggest and fastest players.

The Bauer Reactor 2000 Goalie Blocker has been sized down for junior goaltenders playing up to the intermediate levels of play. The Hybrid/Battlefly style design is perfect for aggressive goaltenders that prefer to challenge the shooter.

The Bauer Reactor 2000 blocker shell is constructed from synthetic leather and nylon materials that are lightweight and durable. The reactor blocker board is designed with a curved profile that allows the goaltender to have a full range of wrist motion as well as solid rebound control. The blocker board is tapered along the bottom edge improving the paddle-down position and allows the goalkeeper to pick up his or her stick with ease. This Reactor blocker offers a large side panel design that uses HD foam to fully protect the side of the hand. Bauer's overlapping HD foam hand and side finger guards provide solid wrap around protection.

The palm on this Bauer Reactor goalie blocker is constructed with Nash leather providing good durability and vibration dampening. Air mesh materials are used on the finger and side hand gusseting ensuring sufficient airflow for the goaltenders stick hand. Additional backhand protection comes from the internal hand bridge pad.

The Bauer Reactor 2000 goalie blocker offers great protection for the price and provides similar design features that are used on the Reactor 4000 and 6000 models. The scaled down size and weight allows younger goaltenders to achieve their maximum playing potential.
