The Bauer Reactor 7000 Goalie Leg Pads have a great new design for 2015, and are capable of being used up to the advanced level of competition. The new single break outer roll and upgraded strapping system help maximize performance and are a welcome addition to the popular Reactor series.

The Reactor 7000 leg pad uses high quality leather on the face and high wear areas of the pad, which helps give great durability and a smooth look. The liner is made from Clarino material, which gives excellent comfort. The Clarino liner gives good moisture wicking properties, which helps to reduce fatigue by limiting water build up.

The Reactor series is known for its commitment to the "Battlefly" approach to stopping pucks. The one break below the knee allows a good amount of flexibility, while the rigid thigh rise ensures that maximum five-hole coverage is attained. The Pro Core insert provides excellent structural support, which maximizes coverage and reduces shrinkage over time that occurs from continued use. The new squared up design on the thigh rise is designed to maximize five-hole coverage without limiting mobility. The face of the pad has three traditional knee rolls that give good flexibility and help deaden the shots, keeping the rebounds closer to the pad.

The 7000 leg pad has an under-pant thigh protector that provides complete protection to the knee and thigh area, but is also removable to accommodate other knee guards. The knee cradle is lined with Clarino material, which helps create a softer landing surface when dropping into the butterfly. Bauer's thick reinforced knee stack system keeps the goaltender's knee elevated, reducing overall joint stress and allowing for increased leg extension. The deep leg and boot channels allow the leg pads to contour to the shin and skates for precise pad movements and control.

Bauer's upgraded three-piece calf wrap design maximizes mobility and provides complete calf protection. The strap system is similar to the previous model, but with some welcome additions. The elastic velcro calf strap is essential for customization. Each goaltender is different, so having an option to adjust this important area of the pad is essential.
