Bauer's 2nd generation of MAX-SORB premium impact technology is strategically placed in high impact areas to provide unparalleled protection. In this area Bauer also combines the MAX-SORB with Poron XRD foam which is also found in the 9900 helmet for further increased protection. 

Bauer has also introduced memory foam to the Total One glove for increased comfort and personalized fit. Memory foam is used in the under the liner in the backhand giving the glove a comfortable but responsive fit.
