Comments: It was time for an upgrade for my son after he grew out of his CCMs.  The Vapor X5.0 shin guards were a great compliment to his new Vapor X5.0 shoulder and elbow pads. There was a short breaking in period.  But once that passed, my son loved his new shin guards.  The shin guards offer great protection along with comfort.  My son likes the fact that the Vapor X5.0 wraps around his calves.  He also likes the amount of padding that the shin guards offer.
