Overview
The CCM Tacks 1052 Shin Guards are the entry level model in the Tacks shin guard line. The hard plastic (PE) knee cap disperses the energy from impacts away from the knee joint, making it a great choice for beginners or casual hockey players.
CCM includes extended foam protection in key areas, namely the calf and the area surrounding the knee. This medium-density foam gives ample protection for recreational play, while also making the shin guard fit more comfortably. The 1052 uses an anatomical removable liner that is comfortable and easy to adjust to the player's preferred fit. This, in combination with the wrap lock strap that wraps around the shin guard, will ensure that the shin guard stays securely where it needs to be.
