The CCM RibCor 46K Ice Hockey Skates are an excellent middle-of-the-pack option that boasts comfortable, high-end performance. With its RibCor Flex Plus quarter package and FlexCore inner core, these 46K's are designed for ultimate agility and speed, backed by ultimate comfortability.

Working in conjunction with the quarter package, the next-generation Pump™ Technology gives players a customized fit every time they step on the ice. The inflatable air bladder located in the heel inflates when the Pump™ is pumped, which provides excellent heel lock and eliminates negative space inside the boot. The CCM 46K's also utilize the signature SkateLock™ feature that gives players the option to lace two different zones of their laces differently (tighter or looser).

Additionally, the CCM RibCor 46K has a pro-style two-piece white felt tongue that provides pro-level protection and feel. With the integrated lace-bite saddle, the pressure that typically causes lace-bite is dissipated, therefore preventing it from happening in the first place. The Dual-Zone Liner is constructed of Tacky Nash and Nylex, giving the player a soft feel inside of the boot while also wicking away unwanted moisture.

Comments: I bought these skates a few months ago after having a bad experience with lace bite with Bauer Supreme 180s. At first they felt great, especially with the tongue (zero lace bite). However, after about a month (roughly 5 total hours on the ice) I was getting severe pain on the inside of my foot right below my big toe.

After investigating the skate, I noticed that this is because the toe cap continues down the inside of the skate with no protection for the inside of the foot (right on the bone below my big toe).

Now I do not have terribly wide feet, I am in good shape at 31, and play in an A Level Men's League. Furthermore, I did not have any issues in this area with my prior Supreme 180s.

Overall, I am disappointed in this product as they felt really nice out of the box and for some reason the issue manifested itself several hours on the ice later. I have had these skates for around 3 months and will probably need new skates AGAIN...
