The CCM Tacks 5R52 Roller Hockey Skates are the middle price point model in the Tacks Line. They pack a lot of punch for the value, providing a stiff quarter package that is geared to unleash explosive strides. CCM used their upgraded AttackFrame™ quarter package with a Formula T4 inner core, which work to produce excellent power that will stand the test of time.

The newly designed AttackFrame Extruded Aluminum Chassis places players in the optimal skating position for quick starts and aggressive turns. The chassis holds Labeda Dynasty III wheels that have a flex core and rebound ring to elevate speed, grip and cornering. For superior glide and roll, CCM gave these Tacks 5R52's Labeda Abec 9 608 bearings.

Comments: Returned to CCM lineup after almost 10 years in Nike/Bauer. First impression was that this boot runs slightly (almost a half-size) larger than old Tacks boots; both 11.0. I mainly skate barefoot with toe just touching cap, but there's room in these to have on two layers of skate socks and still not quite touch. Pretty comfortable so far, but I'm going to add wax laces to help break the boot in. Also, switching back to straight chassis from Hi-Lo has been an adjustment; feels clunky so I may try a rocker setup with these. Last nit-pick, the flared tendon guard sometimes clips the other skate on my backwards crossover. It may just be my style, but if you're a D-man, it can be distracting when you go to pivot. Overall a great skate so far for the money, so here's hoping it conforms a little more with time.

Comments: I grew up skating on Tacks and was really excited when CCM announced they were rolling out new ice and inline skates. While I was hoping for a more retro look on the boot, I love the way these skates fit. They didn't take very long to break in (I didn't bake them) and it only took me a couple of skates to get use to the all-80 wheel set-up (I was skating on a HiLos). Definitely recommend!

Comments: Just purchased and wore for the first time yesterday. Felt lighter and the boot seemed stiffer than the RBK skates I wore previously. To be expected there will be an adjustment period to break in but no blisters or anything serious. Sizing feels right, I wear a size 12 shoe and purchased 10.5 skate. Only negative I noticed were the wheels are probably too soft for me as I could feel them flexing while turning. I weigh approximately 200 lbs and will most likely shred these fairly quickly. Good skates at a great price, thanks Inline Warehouse.

Comments: Absoulutly love these skates. So comfortable and yet I'm they're still good performance skates. They're not incredibly stiff but they're stiff enough to give you the support you need when your trying to explode off the draw. And they take a beating.these skates have seen better days but they still run like they're brand new.
