The CCM Tacks 6052 Hockey Elbow Pads bring pro-level technology into a more affordable price point. These are the most affordable elbow pads to feature the new D3O® smart foam, which is a lightweight material that is designed to absorb impacts differently depending on the intensity. It stays soft to absorb the low impacts, but immediately hardens upon heavier impacts. 

The Tacks 6052 elbow pads feature the bright orange D3O® foam in the joint discharge elbow cap to manage impacts and disperse the force away from the elbow joint. Up in the bicep guard, CCM uses a floating design, in combination with a molded foam and plastic-insert construction for high-level protection and mobility. The forearm wrap has a plastic insert base covered with segmented high-density foams for slash protection. The three strap design firmly holds the elbow pad in place. To secure the pad, CCM uses a vented elastic strap across the bicep guard, a comfortable Lycra strap across the center, and a nylon strap off of the forearm guard.
