The CCM RBZ 80 Grip Hockey Stick is the first model in the RBZ stick line that utilizes the all new SpeedBlade 2 with Freak Channels. This is a huge feature to have at this price point due to the amount of lively pop this blade has to offer. CCM teamed up with the leading golf club manufacturer TaylorMade to develop this technologically advanced blade.

The original RBZ made massive waves in the hockey industry with the first foam-less and hollow blade, called the SpeedBlade. CCM took this great piece of work and improved on it for the new line of RBZ sticks and this RBZ 80 is the first model to showcase it. The SpeedBlade 2 is also foam-less and hollow but the internal "speed channels" were re-engineered to be "Freak Channels". The Freak Channels have a 20% increase in C.O.R. (Coefficient of Restitution) compared to the original RBZ. More simply put, the new blade is 20% more effective at transferring energy from the blade to the puck than before, creating even more pop and power for the player.
