Overview
The CCM FitLite FL60 Hockey Helmet with Cage is built with CCM's new R.E.D. Technology that better protects players from rotational impacts. The liquid-filled bladders that sit between the head and the liner help to slow down rotational acceleration, dissipating the rotational impact energy that results from being struck in a spinning motion. The liner also features an EPP foam base that does an excellent job of managing linear impact energy.
For maximum comfort, CCM included comfort padding on top of the EPP foam with the R.E.D. bladders. Players can seamlessly adjust how the helmet fits in terms of length with the tool-free adjustment feature. This model also comes with the new FL80 flat-wire cage, which is a bargain this price point. The flat, carbon-steel wires provide players with optimal on-ice vision while the multi-density chin cup provides top-notch comfort.

Comments: I bought this helmet for my daughter. She is 11 and tall and the medium helmet works for he head shape (oval). I would not buy this helmet again nor recommend it. The "extra" padding on the inside is glued on and done poorly. As the helmet moves around her hair gets stuck between the styrofoam of the helmet and the "extra" padding. When she pulls off her helmet she loses some hair, every time. The adjustment is just like her previous helmet, FL40, so that made it easy to adjust. Cage is sized for an adult, so I swapped it out with her FL40 cage and that works much better. I would return it if I could and buy a different brand, but she has worn it twice so we will have to deal with it. Hopefully, a skull cap will help.

Comments: Runs small! I wear a 7 1/4 and the medium is tight. Padding is lackluster. I prefer the older single density softer product than the newer dual density style. It's just too firm, and not properly supplemented.
Good protection, and great vision with the cage. I'm exchanging for large size, and adding either military padding, or bicycle padding.

Comments: This helmet is light weight, comfortable and affordable. It's the perfect amount of protection for the beer leaguer at a reasonable price. It's also easy to adjust. Get it! You won't be sorry.
