Cut Protection Level

The CCM CL 500 Goalie Chest Protector offers excellent performance, protection and is one of the lightest CCM chest protectors to date. The CL 500 chest protector has many innovative advancements that help maximize agility and decrease weight without sacrificing protection. One of those advancements is the addition of compression molded and High/Low density foam reinforcements, which are extremely lightweight pieces of foam that provide great impact protection while also reducing the overall weight of the chest protector.
The CL 500 chest protector features a large chest block design with dual density foams used throughout. This design does an excellent job of increasing mobility and protection while simultaneously making the chest lighter. The protection in the sternum and chest is reinforced with a mixture of high and low density foams. CCM continues the excellent level of performance in the CL 500 chest protector by reinforcing the shoulder wings and caps with high density molded foam, continuing to focus on decreasing weight while still maintaining elite level protection.
CCM has taken great care to ensure that the chest protector is customizable enough to fit any goaltender, and has included adjustable arms to make sure that holds true. By having adjustable arms, the CL 500 can be adjusted to perfectly seal with the catcher and blocker. The newly designed 3 piece molded elbow cap maximizes mobility and comfort by making sure the elbow can flex while still locking the protection in place.
