Overview
The CCM Tacks 2052 Ice Hockey Pants provide great protection for beginner to intermediate players. The segmented pad design allows players to move freely, and the flex zones enhance mobility. CCM uses a durable nylon exterior to hold up against the normal wear and tear of hockey. It also features zippers on the inside of each leg for an adjustable fit.
The lower thigh pads use a molded hard plastic (PE) with comfort foams for a high level of comfortable protection. Up in the hips, CCM uses its patented JDP design, which disperses the force of hard impacts away from the valuable hip joint. At the rear is a floating spine guard constructed of medium density foams with a PE insert, which extends to protect the lower back. The floating guard also attaches to a tailbone protector that contours to provide ideal protection.

Comments: I'm only at beginner level hockey, but these are great for basic rec league and drop-in hockey. I'm 5'10 and only about 160lbs, so went with Large size to give me the proper protection and goes right down to the knee. Although I need to really tighten the waist for the fit, they feel great and provide ample protection. Worn these pants for about 6 months now and very pleased how they've provided good protection during numerous falls and hits - not to mention they've shown almost no wear and tear in that time.

Comments: I bought this pants a few weeks ago and have played in them a few times since. They are great for beginners and rec league. They are light, but well padded. I've fallen and taken a few checks in these and they protected me well. Good tailbone protection and kidney protection. Great Value for the price point.
