The CCM Ultra Tacks Hockey Elbow Pads are the premier elbow pads in the new CCM Tacks lineup. These offer professional-level protection with lightweight materials, including D3O® smart foams. This orange foam found in the elbow cap, reacts differently to various levels of impact. The foam remains soft to absorb the low impacts, while immediately hardening upon high-force impacts. 

In addition to the D3O®, the elbow cap features CCM's joint discharge, which disperses the energy from impacts away from the elbow joint. In the bicep guard, CCM uses a molded plastic core covered with multi-density foams on the exterior. Since it is a two-piece design, the Ultra Tacks elbow pads feature extended padding in the bicep guard to account for arm movement. The forearm wrap is padded with a high density segmented foam for lightweight protection and mobility.

The three strap system ensures a secure and comfortable fit with one vented elastic strap, Lycra strap, and nylon lock strap. The lock strap in the forearm uses a slot system to provide a more customizable fit that still keeps the pad from sliding forward. The Lycra strap provides exceptional comfort in the elbow crease, and the vented nylon gives better ventilation and comfort in the bicep guard. CCM uses a moisture-wicking, breathable liner for enhanced comfort and ventilation.
