Overview
The CCM Ultra Tacks Ice Hockey Pants provide pro-level protection with innovative technology. The hip pads use a molded plastic (PE) insert exterior, with bright orange D3O® smart foams on the interior of the cap. These D3O® smart foams protect against both low-level impacts and high-energy impacts by changing consistency. For low-level impacts and in its normal state, the smart foam is soft and flexible; but when its hit with a high-force impact, the molecules lock together and form a hard material to best protect against the heavy impact.
The Ultra Tacks pants feature a molded PE kidney guard above the waist, as well as a floating spine guard. The spine guard uses high-density lightweight foams for mobile and highly protective fit. This guard also extends into tailbone protector, which contours to the body using segmented foams with PE inserts. Finally, the thigh guards use a molded PE design and comfort foam interior.
These pants are built to last with a premium nylon construction with abrasion panels and low-density foams in areas that see the most wear and tear. Additionally, CCM runs elastic throughout the legs for maximum mobility. The pants use an internal strapping system which gives a great locked-in fit. For the taller players out there or players who prefer to have a longer fit, the Ultra Tacks ice pants have a 1" extension built into the pant. Simply unzip the zipper underneath the padded belt cover and the pants increase an inch in length.

Comments: Love the traditional feeling of these pants. Very protective and light with a good look. Iv been using these since they came out. The extra one inch helps me fit in them d=for an extra month. There durable and the Ultra Tack print on the lower back padding feels amazing. Defiantly will always use these pants. Comments: Fit was amazing for my body type and protection was great in all needed areas. The zipper under the belt was a very good feature especially when i hit a little growth spurt and the pants were able to grow with me. The pants, being the best protect pants i've ever use, were surprisingly very light. Feels like the pants are an extension of your self. Overall I would give a 5/5 review. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Comments: Great fitting high end pant featuring elite protection in all the necessary areas. Well ventilated and equipped with leg zippers for more leg room or for those people that like to put on their skates first. A zipper under the padded belt for an extra 1" extension for taller players. Suspender buttons for those people who like a looser traditonal fit. Great segmented tailbone protection with high end PE plastics. Great for any level of hockey right up to the pro level.
