Overview
The CCM U+ Pro hockey elbow pads are the top of the line elbow pad from CCM offering an excellent pro level of protection. The CCM pro elbow pad is the only elbow pad in the CCM line offering EPP foam for advanced protection with minimal weight.
The U+ pro elbow pad uses a three piece design with CCM's stretch zones for excellent protection and mobility. Essentially this system attaches the different components with stretch zones (stretchable fabric) to allow additional movement. This design also covers the joints of the pad so your jersey wont get hung up on the pad.
CCM has also used a unique strapping system on the U+ pro elbow pad. The upper strap is a standard elastic strap, although the lower closure features a neoprene like web with a nylon strap that rest on top then crosses the top of the slash guard to lock it down. This system results in a secure fit during play.

Comments: tyson does a great job of describing the neoprene anti slip webbing inside this elbow pad. however, this makes the pad slightly more cumbersome to take on/off (it doesn't just slip on). this inconvenience is worth it if you have constant problems with your elbow pads moving around after vigorous play (i.e. slapshots or checking). the non stretch nylon front strap is quite neat too, as you can make the pad REALLY tight on your forearm if desired (then its not moving anywhere). wore these pads today in rat hockey and didn't have to adjust them at all, the neoprene really makes them stick in place. a long term drawback i can see is that neoprene is rather delicate and will not wear well in abrasion or stretching zones, as it tends to lose it elasticity and disintegrates. so perhaps the interior of these pads will only last a few seasons.
