The cowling on the GX1 Pro goal skate has two trim lines that can be be used to reduce the size of the cowling and decrease its weight for goaltenders that do not want extra coverage on the inner areas of the foot. The inner portion of the cowling has an angled bevel resting spot, which is designed to allow for a more aggressive attack angle with the skate without slipping. The rear support post of the skate where the bottom leg strap goes through has been angled to provide a more ergonomically correct strapping that keeps the pad more secure and reduces wear on the strap.
