Overview

The Warrior Dynasty HD1 Hockey Stick is the top of the line model in the new Dynasty stick family. The HD1 stick utilizes all of Warrior's premium technology and materials; including the new 100% carbon thermoset & HyperDrive Engineered kick point. Deriving from research that went into Warrior's successful Covert QR1 stick, the HD1 utilizes strategic fiber orientation through a 14" zone in the middle of the shaft. When a player's lower hand is placed within this marked zone, shots are backed with blazing shot velocity and power.

The Warrior HD1's shaft features a true one-piece construction with a 100% carbon thermoset. These two combine to give players an exceptionally balanced and lightweight feel from top to bottom. To assist with accuracy, Warrior used their Strong-Arm Taper to ensure the blade face stays square to the target during the shooting process. Strong-Arm works by reinforcing the lower portion of the shaft in a way that increases stiffness in the area by 20%.

The blade is constructed of three key technologies; Hardcore X Foam Core, Twin-Spar Carbon Fiber Support and Aramid Sole reinforcement. The Twin-Spar Carbon bridges run heel to toe, providing support and stiffness for accuracy but it also also increases endurance and bend strength by 40%. The Hardcore X Foam is Warrior's lightest foam package available but more importantly it has 60% higher compression resistance 40% great tensile strength. Lastly is the Aramid Sole that reinforces the bottom edge of the blade for 4 times better impact resistance.

Comments: Definitely one of the best sticks I've used! I've used various brands over my time playing hockey and really haven't consistently used one brand, I've switched back and forth based on store availability (I won't order a stick online, the one time I did it broke within a month!). However, with using the HD1, I've been blown away with how great the stick is. I've used two Warriors (the most of any brand) in the past (DT1 AND QR Pro) and never had any durability issues like most people complain about with Warriors. I found them light, durable, and great puck feel. After I broke my Reebok Ribcor, I decided to come back to Warrior and get the HD1. I'm glad I did!!! I've used it for 3 months and have no cosmetic issues to report, and is holding up quite well. It's insanely light for the amount of power it produces and holds up strong. I was afraid to take slap shots because of it's lightness, but when I decided to take some, I was at amazed at how quick the puck came off my blad
e. Also, I found wrist shots quite easy, and the HD1 provided a quick release off the blade. I have the W88 curve, which is nearly identical to the Kane P88 Bauer curve, and have found it to be really awesome for wristers, and have found the shots to be overall powerful and quite accurate, especially when I have to shoot quickly off the toe. The overall feel is great, the grip version is not too grippy, and provides the right amount of grip. As I mentioned before, it's quite light and has rounded corners and not as squared off as much as other sticks do. It's marketed as a powerful stick geared more towards those players who prefer slap shots, but as a forward, I feel like the wrist shots are just as good with the HD1. It may not be the quickest release like the QR1 or the 1X (which Bauer seemed to copy from Warrior), but it is a durable, light option that provides lots of power behind the shot, whether it be a snap shot, slap shot, or a wrist shot. Don't be turned off by Warrior's
past reputation to have poor durability, as the HD1 seems to have no issues after 3 months. I highly recommend the HD1 for someone looking to put power behind their shot.

Comments: I've tried a lot of top end sticks over the past couple of years and this Warrior HD1 is definitely the best of all. The only other stick I feel comes close, is the CCM Superfast. The puck feel with this Warrior stick is great, the weight and feel of it are great, and my shots are flying off the blade right to where I want them to go when I take slappers and snapshots. I would recommend getting the grip version because I think it helps to get a firm shot off. The shaft dimensions don't give you that box like feeling and is perfect for me. If you're looking for a stick that feels and looks great, and gives you a solid accurate shot, I would definitely give this one a try.

Comments: Awesome stick!!! I won this stick in a raffle and it is performing great. Grip and texture are great for the shooter type. The HD kickpoint is in a more natural hand position. Perfect combination of power, quick release and kick point position. This stick added a lot to my shot. Now you can get power without sacrificing quick release. Very durable stick; took slashes, blocked slappers on the stick, heavy board battle and TONS of shots. This stick is so light I forgot I was carrying it to the rink with my CCM. Great feel for the puck. Best out of the 11+ sticks I own. DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY! It's the best in every area and is still balanced. Go buy one and find out for yourself!
