Overview

The A&R Skate Blade Hand Stones are made of the finest quality and help maintain and prolong a steel's edge, saving you time and money on skate sharpening! These are specifically designed for stainless steel runners only and not for any steel that has a coating like blacksteel or polished (mirror) finish.

Sometimes burrs or nicks can form on the edges of your blade which can affect your skating performance. In order to quickly remove them and get you back in your stride, these hand stones are a must-have in any player's hockey bag.

The Medstone has a coarser grit that will remove larger nicks or more aggressive burrs by removing more steel. It has a tapered design that feels comfortable in the hand and glides smoothly across the skate holder.

The Recstone is a harder and finer stone that will remove the most common nicks and burrs. It is also a great way to clean up anything leftover after using the Medstone.

Comments: This stone does not work. When you use it, a lot of sediment falls of the stone, which means the stone is not even throughout its surface. When the stone is not even, it doesn't take off all of the burrs. Even worse, the stone broke in my bag. I would not recommend this stone for anyone.
