Overview

The Bauer Nexus 4000 Grip Hockey Sticks are a step up from the entry level model and feature a visible 3K carbon fiber weave in the blade and lower shaft. These upgrades help to lighten up the overall weight of the stick while also promoting a more lively blade feel. Bauer also incorporated their Pure Shot Blade Profile in the lower hosel for better durability and accuracy.

Comments: I bought the nexus 4000 (60 Flex P88) when a split in my Easton Mako 2 appeared, and not having £/$ 200 spare I had to lower my sights onto something which was a lot more affordable. After trying a few sticks i decided the mid flex profile of the bauer really suited me so i decided to give it a go.

Coming from a top end mako to the nexus 4000 hasnt been as terrible as i envisioned. The Nexus 4000 has a great balance to it, even if it is heavier then the Mako. The balance of the stick feels much lighter in the hands then you think it will be. A couple of friends also commented on the good weight: price ratio.
The stick has incredible pop for its price point, and i have no qualms recommending it to anyone.
After two games and two training sessions, I can firmly say (even though i'm using an intermediate), the stick feels like a tank (in a good way), and there is very minimal marking from slashes from other sticks.
The other things: the grey colour of the stick is a lot darker in person (which is definitely a good thing). Overall, i love the dark colour scheme, a number of people on my team commented positively about the way the stick looked (which is always nice).
The grip on this stick is also perfect. I dont usually like grippy sticks (but in the uk its hard to buy without grip), but the grip on this is very subtle.

Overall this stick is great for its price point and for anyone looking for a mid kick stick.
