Level of Play Definitions

    Recreational-Level Skates
    Built for the new-to-hockey player or casual skaters that are looking for an affordable option. These are great starter skates, especially for youth players.

Cut Protection Level

  • This is the general level of protection against cuts.

    • Minimum: Basic protection suitable for competitive play
    • Standard: Balanced protection for intense gameplay. Protects against more severe cuts.
    • Maximum: Highest level of cut resistance for elite gameplay. Ideal for competitive adult hockey and designed for the biggest and fastest players.

ANSI Rated Cut Level

  • Measures the actual cut resistance of materials based on the ANSI/ISEA 105 standard.

The Reebok 14K KFS Hockey Elbow Pads come assembled with the JDP (Joint Discharge Principal) caps, which disperse forceful impact away from the fragile elbow joints to the surrounding muscles. Also, these elbow pads are equipped with Reebok's KFS shield (Kinetic Fit System), which segments protection for great mobility. The overall protection is enhanced with adequate segmentation consisting of medium density foams and molded plastic inserts.

The 14K elbow pads two-piece hinged design allows excellent mobility in the bicep guard and the triple segmentation provides key coverage of exposed areas. Also, the forearm guard features a molded plastic slash insert with added foam padding for sound protection and comfort. The triple crossover lock strap system facilitates added lock fitting; therefore, players are securely fastened to the pad for great mobility!

Comments: I think these pads are ok, they do what they're supposed to which is protect your elbows and forearms. I've been playing with them for a few months now and taken a few shots on them (pucks, sticks and boards) and never felt anything. My only grip is that they do have a tendency to slide down my forearms when I fully extend my arms
