Comments: Purchased these for my two boys who are taking skating lessons and eventually playing hockey. The boy's are 5 1/2 and 3 3/4 in age and the skates are just perfect for beginning skating. They are reminiscent of the "molded boot" ice skates that even the pro's in the NHL were wearing in the mid to late 70's. The boot provides a lot of ankle support which is very helpful for people that are beginning to skate, like my children. Also, they are very easy for the parent/child to put on as there are no laces, just buckles like you would find on a ski boot. It's easy on my back for me to put the skates on my children and easier for children as they are not so adept at tying laces yet. Additionally, the boots expand so you will get lot of bang for your buck with those quick growing little feet. I highly recommend these for introducing your children to the world of skating. Transaction with icewarehouse was smooth and they were friendly and helpful on phone. Skates arrived quickly in the mail as well.
