The Sher-Wood Nexon N6 Goalie Stick is part of the new series lineup introduced for 2012. This lineup offers new design features that help with durability, vibration dampening, grip and overall feel of your stick.

Sher-Wood is using what they are calling their Pro Balance design on the Nexon 6 series sticks. To optimize the weight ratio between the blade/paddle and shaft, weight has been removed from the paddle and blade allowing for perfect balance during low and high movements. This allows faster blocker moves, better puck deflection, and helps with puck control giving the goalie more confidence. Allowing for vibration dampening while maintaining consistent flex comes from Varimax technology. This technology is achieved by positioning multiple layers of a refined carbon/glass blend that absorbs the energy and distributes the vibration across the paddle, this process of layering the materials also helps prevent the stick from becoming soft over time. Helping with high frequency shocks from direct impacts is a light high-density foam core reinforced with fiberglass. This injected foam material absorbs vibrations that can cause fatigue, and helps keep your hand from becoming sore when blocking the puck with your stick. The Pro Fit handle has been refined with a new geometry offering a secure and comfortable grip giving the goalie more control over movements like poke checking and passing. The N6 goal stick is using Connexion, a textured grip finish has been added to the blade allowing for better tape adhesion.

The new Nexon series lineup by Sher-Wood offers many of the same features as some of the higher end sticks at a slightly less expensive price tag. This stick is suitable for goalies playing at just about any playing level.
