The Sherwood 5030 Hockey Shin Guards feature a lightweight design with good protection. The 5030 shin guards offer a simple traditional fit with the classic white look.
The 5030 shin pads offer a traditional hockey shin guard design. The ribbed shin shell helps to prevent direct impacts from shots or slashes. This pad also features a single density foam calf wrap for some additional protection on stray shots to the back of the leg. Sherwood has given this pad two velcro 1.5" elastic straps to secure the pad during play. There is no strap under the knee which is nice for players that prefer to use tape in securing their shin pads.
The liner is separated into two parts. The light teal color portion in the knee area is the softest material used on this pad, which adds to the overall comfort. The shin portion is the same material as the calf wrap, with an added tibia support. This is a piece of foam embedded into the liner improving the overall fit of the pad.

Comments: Why did these jump up 20 dollars in price? I remember buying them a few years ago around $34.99. Still a nice pair of shin guards that do the job.
