The CCM U+ 08 Goalie Ice Skate is a lightweight skate with protection suitable for up to an advanced level goalie.
The CCM U+ 08 goal skates use CCM's U Foam in the core of the skate which makes the skate very lightweight while still providing a high level of protection. The quarter package of these skates use a heavy duty metal mesh that provides a lot of protection as well as increases durability and support. The U Foam in the core of the skate provides additional support for a stronger push off to get across the crease quicker. CCM's U+ 08 skate uses a higher boot construction for added support without inhibiting flexibility. The inside of the U+ 08 goalie skate is lined with a Clarino synthetic leather to provide comfort to the entire foot as well as keep the skate dry. To assist in the drying process CCM has included a metal mesh drain in the bottom of the skate. This drain will allow for some air flow to the foot as well has let any water escape the skate. CCM has used a very rigid tongue that provides pro lace-bite protection in addition to a inner felt liner to offer more comfort. The CCM U Plus 08 goal skates use Proformance stainless steel runners which are held by CCM Customlite Cowlings.
