The Sherwood PMPX 9950 Wood hockey stick offers a traditional puck feel in a lighter-weight design. The PMPX features a core reinforced with fiberglass and carbon fiber. This adds stiffness, increases, responsiveness, and reduces weight. Great performance from a wood model.

  • Construction:
    • Aspen Core covered with a double birch lamination
    • Reinforced with vertical fiberglass and carbon fiber
  • Geometry:
    • Traditional shape-Straight sidewalls and rounded corners
  • Blade:
    • 4 laminations of white ash
    • Reinforced with a multi-directional and highly impact-resistant fiberglass
  • Flex: 105
  • Length: 63"
  • Weight: 675 grams

Comments: The only big mans wood stick available and a good stick at that. Stiffer flex and tall enough if you are 6'5" I don't like any of Sherwoods curves but since it is wood blade I just heat it up and put my own curve on them. I like to use this for pond hockey because it is just fitting to play pond with an original wooden stick. But I would play real hockey with this over a composite OPS costing twice as much. Your $ is better spent here than on a cheap OPS
