The Vaughn 2200 Hybrid Goalie Stick utilizes a carbon fiber shaft with a foam core paddle and blade construction to achieve an incredibly light stick that still has exceptional durability and vibration dampening properties.
The 2200 Hybrid goalie stick features a full carbon fiber composite shaft, which has an 89 flex rating. The carbon fiber keeps the stick light, while the flex rating provides the perfect amount of stiffness needed to accurately make passes and stick handle. The 2200 has a tapered grip on the shaft, which helps improve grip when passing the puck, and provides extra control when poke-checking. Vaughn's 2200 paddle features an injected foam core flat frontal profile, which provides superior vibration dampening and improves rebound control by producing more predictable deflections. An injected foam core in the inner core of the blade helps reduce and dampen shot vibrations and limits unwanted flexing upon impact. Optimum performance and consistency is achieved by molding the entire goal stick under high pressure and heat to precisely control the shape and curve.
