The Velocity 7990 blocker offers Pro Spec construction that not only improves the durability and protection but also meets all required regulation standards in the NHL.
The Vaughn 7990 goalie blocker is constructed with top of the line materials and protective foams that are designed to maximize the performance. Vaughn is using no binding front construction that enhances the blocking area and has a firmer outer perimeter improving shot impacts. The blocking surface offers a tilt forward design allowing the goaltender to have more blocking coverage. The blocker board perimeter on the Vaughn V5 7990 is beveled reducing the overall weight and also brings the center of gravity to the center giving the goalie improved balance. The beveled edges also allows addition control and limits the blocker from twisting when impacted on the edges. A large side hand shield is constructed with high density foams along with plastic inserts that offer excellent protection and offers goalkeepers an additional blocking surface. A side air cushion further protects the wrist area and side of the hand. The Velocity 7990 blocker comes with an ergonomically designed palm that is designed to offer superior stick grip and control. Vented side guesset construction allows excellent airflow that keeps your hands dryer during the game and assists in the drying process after. Dual density leather material is used on the palm adding to the durability and the padded lining helps reduce stick vibrations from stick impacts.
