Overview

The Easton V9T (ST) Elite Hockey Sticks is a reincarnation of the classic Easton ST reinforced construction but with the addition of Easton's signature elliptical taper. The combination of these two key features makes for a stick with a lightning quick shot release and a premier level of durability.

The shaft utilizes Easton's premium uni-carbon fiber for top notch responsiveness and pop. The V9T Elite's sidewalls and blade plies are thicker and are more reinforced than the V9E Elite, maximizing durability and impact resistance. The blade's core uses high-grade foam with HyperToe Technology to provide exceptional puck feel, increased velocity and pin point accuracy.

Comments: a little background. I used the EK15 before I switch to this stick. So first though is that the stick was blade heavy (EK15 only weight 385g). the stick feels great. i felt like i have more control of the puck and better feel of where the puck is.

as far as shooting, my shot improved quite a bit. I was able to get my shot out faster and more accurate than my EK15. with the E3 curve shooting top shelve is really easy. sometime too easy.

Comments: Weight:This stick is really light but it feels a bit blade heavy sometimes. Perhaps the heavy feeling is coming from the section that is supposed to be reinforced. My V9 snapped in the first month and the replacement lasted about two months so I'll refrain from complaining about this change. Recently I've used the V9,Mako, and 85S. I'm used to the very light and balanced feel of the Mako and V9 but this blade heavy V9T actually seems better for catching passes but it's a bit clunky for stick handling.

Shooting:I've used this stick twice, once during a stick and puck and once in a pick up. The accuracy is excellent for wrist shots and slappers. I'm using a 100 flex E3 and the flex is right where I want it.

Puck feel:I mentioned above that it feels a bit clunky compared to my other sticks but I think it's just something I'll get used to. A little adjustment and it should work out fine.
