The Aegis Interceptor Neck Guard Collar is built with 100% Kevlar Para-aramid fibers, which offers hockey players great cut resistance from skate blades. Now for the first time on the market, Aegis provides a neck guard collar that provides elite-level impact protection with the help of a D3O Smart Foam insert.
D3O is a rate-sensitive smart foam, which means it stays flexible and soft in its natural state, but upon impact, the molecules harden and dissipate the impact energy providing elite-level protection against neck and throat injuries. With this new technology being integrated into Aegis' neck guard, players can feel much safer on the ice knowing they not only have protection from dangerous skate blades but also from any throat impacts that may come their way.
