The CCM Tacks 920 Helmet with Cage is the most complete helmet CCM has ever built. It not only boasts elite-level protection but also introduces game-changing breathability and an adjustable fit that locks in comfortably and securely every shift. From physical battles in the corners to breakaway rushes, the Tacks 920 keeps your head cool and stable so you can focus on making plays, not adjusting your lid.

The fully reengineered modern shell, shaped using science-backed data, features larger, strategically placed intake and exhaust vents. Paired with the AER-TEC system and Nest Tech lattice, this design noticeably channels air throughout the helmet to reduce heat and sweat buildup, helping you stay sharp when the game is on the line.

Inside, CCM's advanced 3-in-1 R3Flex liner adapts to all levels of impact, absorbing high-energy hits while cushioning low-energy bumps, and conforming to your head for personalized comfort. Unlike traditional foams that bottom out, R3Flex dissipates energy without sacrificing comfort, delivering up to 14% better impact protection than previous Tacks models. Combined with the TotalDri removable sweatband, moisture is quickly wicked away, keeping sweat out of your eyes during critical moments.

Dialing in the perfect fit has never been easier thanks to the AdaptFit 360 system. This unique, one-step rear adjustment offers a 20% wider fit range than previous Tacks helmets, comfortably adapting to various head shapes while maintaining stability during play. The secure, forgiving fit allows precise adjustments while eliminating pressure points, ensuring your helmet stays locked in place through every moment of the game.

Comfort / Lightness / FitI have a big noggin (24.5") and finding a lid that actually fits has always been problematic. So much so that I skated in my last helmet, a one-piece Mission, for wayyyyy past it's expiration date. Two concerned teammates gave me some grief about it a couple months ago and I had to face facts. I was reluctant but now am glad. This lid is perfect, the design/engineering is genius. The way it wraps, the mix of foams and matrix materials is dialed in perfectly. The 3D-matrix materials as the lone padding, like in the X helmet model, to me seems totally insufficient for impacts, and when I saw what a used one looks like it just looked tangled and gross. But combining it with foams to make a stable pattern solves that. This helmet wraps my head with no open space, just cloudy yet stable goodness. So light! Great airflow. I feel so confident it it. It should win all the design awards for greatness. So yeah, 5+ stars!
