The CCM Tacks XF Shin Guard is a standout option for the player who battles, grinds, and seeks elite-level protection at a more approachable price. While offering maximum coverage to the leg, the XF features D3O Zero foam in key impact areas to disperse force taken from blocked shots and heavy slashes away from the body. These areas include the knee donut, outer calf guard, and bottom portion of the shin liner.
Compress-molded EVA foam was used in the thigh portion for added protection and comes with CCM's FlexMotion construction. Players can adjust the piece to find their perfect coverage and maximize their stride mobility. Additionally, AdaptFit was built into the highly protective injection-molded calf guard, allowing players to adjust the dual-elastic straps to find the perfect fit and coverage, regardless of calf size.
For even more customization, the bottom of the liner can be removed and adjusted to meet the needs of a player's style. If you rock tongues in, simply remove the piece so the shell sits closer to the body. Adjust and keep the piece in place if you wear the skate tongues out to ensure you have proper comfort and coverage.

Sizing Chart
| GENERAL SHIN GUARD SIZING GUIDELINES | |
|---|---|
| Sitting at a 90-degree angle, measure from the bottom of your kneecap to the top of your foot parallel to your ankle and round to the nearest inch. This measurement equals your shin guard size when worn over the skate tongue. Correspond this measurement with the "Tongue In" column below. This is the most popular style since it offers more coverage and the best mobility. | |
| If you prefer to wear the shin guard under the skate tongue, simply subtract 1" from your measurement, which equals going one pad size down. This style provides a lighter and lower-profile fit. |
