Overview
When blocked shots, slashes, and board battles are part of your game, the CCM Tacks XR Shin Guards provide the coverage needed to stay confident in traffic. The new FZN Shield construction uses an injection-molded shin cap fused with an internal plastic sling to improve protection on both sides of the leg.
D3O Zero reinforces key impact areas in the calf guard and lower shell liner, absorbing and dispersing hard impacts without adding unnecessary bulk. The injection-molded knee cap works with a protective comfort donut to help support the joint and distribute impact energy, while the compression-molded EVA FlexMotion thigh guard provides adjustable coverage without restricting the stride.
A padded Hyper X Lock Strap keeps the shin securely in place throughout the game, while the length-adjustable dual calf straps create a comfortable fit around different calf sizes. The AdaptFit liner adds another layer of customization with a removable lower section that can be adjusted depending on whether skate tongues are worn in or out.

Sizing Chart
| GENERAL SHIN GUARD SIZING GUIDELINES | |
|---|---|
| Sitting at a 90-degree angle, measure from the bottom of your kneecap to the top of your foot, parallel to your ankle, and round to the nearest inch. This measurement equals your shin guard size when worn over the skate tongue. Correspond this measurement with the "Tongue In" column below. This is the most popular style since it offers more coverage and the best mobility. | |
| If you prefer to wear the shin guard under the skate tongue, simply subtract 1" from your measurement, which equals going one pad size down. This style provides a lighter and lower-profile fit. |
