Overview
The Nash Steel Honing Hand Sharpening Stones can rejuvenate your edges and keep you skating in the game until your next skate sharpening. When a blade's edge becomes nicked or develops burrs, these tiny imperfections can drastically reduce your skating performance. To avoid losing an edge during the game, these stones are designed to remove the imperfections and get your blade in working form.
Nash provides a few different options that are a must-have in every player and goalie hockey bag. The Rectangle Stones are larger and come in two different grits. The Medium Grit is for removing larger burrs and nicks, as it removes more steel to address the bigger imperfections. The Fine Grit is for gentle deburring and cleaning up the edge for a nice smooth finish.
The Tapered Stone comes in two different sizes and feels more comfortable in the hands. They both come with a Fine Grit that's designed to handle your most common nicks and burrs that occur during the game. These are great to use before a game and between periods.
These stones are strictly designed for stainless steel blades only and not for any steel that has a coating such as blacksteel or a polished finish. For players or goalies that have coated blades, check out the Nash Black Steel Honing Stone.
